client side validation strips off back-slashes in user defined variables in 
validation.xml

Hi,
    I think you got the function from the html file generated by jsp. As I have 
stated in my 1st message, the back slashes are doubled, which is correct. Only 
when it comes to the validator-rules.xml, alert print from there, the slashes 
disappear.
