It's just that it's so nice and easy for a page developer to add one tag 
and thats it:
<html:errors/>
<html:info/>
maybe even <html:help level='3'/> :-)  

...as for using the errors tag for "anything" its a visual problem, I'd 
like to be able do something like
<tr><td class='error'><html:errors/></td></tr>
<tr><td class='info'><html:info/></td></tr>

or the more Strutsy:

<html:info styleClass='info'>
