It looks like some people at Suunto are also reading Linus' post. The comment by Jukka Saarikorpi is basically an invitation to get in touch with them. Maybe that's an opportunity to try and get some kind of support from them?

Just sent him this:

Jukka,

Saw your response to Linus' post about dive computers. My wife and I have been diving for the last couple of years (I was NAUI certified 40 yrs ago but raising a family took precedence) using the Cobra. Both of us have had cataract surgeries so near objects require reading glasses. Gets to be a pain trying to get the gauge readers i--n the mask aligned on the display. It has been a solid DC for us but is hard to read in dim light. The backlight is barely visible (last night I thought it wasn't working -- but finally saw the glow disappear without having seen the segments). Shining a dive light on the display washes the display out so it isn't readable.

Day use in the tropics is great. Puget Sound was icky last evening (before sunset -- the red octopus was more interesting). I have almost 60 dives on mine (plus pool work) and Wanita has just over 25 on hers. Both of us are looking for something better. Perhaps you have an upgrade in the works for us 60+ folks who need something larger (colorful)?
