That's my understanding as well. I think that keeping it simple, with only next and previous controls, is probably the right way to go. Allowing a click to generate a new random color is essentially duplicate functionality, and without an obvious undo which is the hallmark of the new design in the first place. If we really want to retain functionality when clicking on the large XO (for familiarity to those who used the old design), we could treat it the same as a click on the next button.
