One of the annoying parts of sundial design is having to decide whether to accommodate Daylight Savings Time or not, so I'm pleased to hear that the EU Commission is proposing to do away with it. See BBC's report at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45366390

I hope they go through with it, and non-EU countries follow their lead.

In Canada we even have the ridiculous situation that some locales use DST and some do not, even within the same province. Madness!
