Hello,

You could try forcing the Sun Ray to ignore DDC and always drive
a video timing that you know the monitor can handle. Use
'utresadm' to do that:

    % utresadm -a -c <mac-of-sunray> -t default <timing>

where <timing> is the name of one of the timings shown by 'utresdef'.
Then power-cycle the Sun Ray.

/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utresadm -a -c IEEE802.0003BADC2DFA -t default [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I even did an utrestart, though I didn't expect this to change anything, nope. The power touch button is highlighted when I switch on the Sun Ray, but the screen remains dark.

Any more ideas? I would even dare to get my hands on my soldering iron if this would lead to anything. I have a bunch of Apple Cinema displays here that are for the basket if I don't find a solution for this.

Thanks,

  Andreas
