Hello all,

You could try forcing the Sun Ray to ignore DDC and always drive
a video timing that you know the monitor can handle. Use
      'utresadm' to do that:

      % utresadm -a -c <mac-of-sunray> -t default <timing>

where <timing> is the name of one of the timings shown by
      'utresdef'.
      Then power-cycle the Sun Ray.

  /opt/SUNWut/sbin/utresadm -a -c IEEE802.0003BADC2DFA -t default
  [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I even did an utrestart, though I didn't expect this to change
anything, nope. The power touch button is highlighted when I
switch on the Sun Ray, but the screen remains dark.

AFAIK,utrestart -c needs to be run to get effect the utresadm -a/-d changes .

No, but you have to run /opt/SUNWut/lib/utresexec -k -t <token>
utresexec is a private interface and I guess used by utrestart internally.

Thanks
