Hi Alanboon,

If you are running Sunray server on your Solaris 10, utadm should do it for
you. Sunray server has its own
DHCP server so all the functionality is already there. So you don't have to
use external DHCP.

My Sunray servers and Sunray DTUs are sitting in a separate subnet/VLAN so
the DHCP and
broadcast traffic is restricted to that subnet.

In case you are wondering, my regular desktops & notebooks are getting DHCP
service from
the AD domain on another subnet.

Yes, I am indeed wondering how this might work? Some of our Sun Rays are sitting in a 192.168.2.0 network, the SRS and other Sun Rays are sitting in a 10.0.0.0 network. Both are connected via a router. When the 192.168.2.0 sun rays broadcast for a dhcp server they of course don't find the one in the other network. That's why I think I need to setup one in the 192.168.2.0 network that points (with options) to the SRS in the other network!?

Regards,

  Andreas
