Hi,
You can setup DHCP relay in the router / switch to relay DHCP request
to
your SRS server.
Here we are back to my original question. The router in our case is a
Netra X1 running Solaris 10! :-) How can I make it forward DHCP request
to the other net or provide DHCP service for the 192.168.2.0 net
without installing SRS on the Netra which makes no sense since the SRS
we want to connect to is in the 10.0.0.0 network.
or
If the 2 subnets are within the same building, you can put another
network
card in the SRS server
and attach it to 192.168.2.0 subnet. Then create another DHCP server
for
the 192.168.2.0 subnet.
In this method, broadcast traffic is contained with the subnet.
The two nets are not with in the same building.
Thanks,
Andreas
