Ok. However, I added "tcsh" now as a required package to point (1) of my
guide to ensure a csh compatible shell is installed which in fact should
solve the problem.

I nevertheless added it now to the initial apt-get install commandline
in point (1) of my guide.

Well, until today I assumed that it is clear that some window manager
have to be installed. However, I will put a note in the guide ASAP to
ensure that this is more clear.
