Expensive cartridges aside, I have had excellent luck with Lexmark printers. They also are rather Mac friendly (the were among the first to have OSX drivers).
As I recommend to everyone, if you are doing nothing more than Black and White text (or with a better printer, pictures), get a laser printer. The initial cost will be evened out by the time you buy for 3rd or 4th cartridge. That is usually within the first year. Let's figure. Inkjet cart, $30, average of 200 pages = $0.15 cents a page in ink alone. Laser toner, $80, average of 2,500 pages = $0.03 cents a page. This is assuming that you don't print many pictures with your inkjet, if so you can drop the average page-per-cart to about 150. Just my $0.02.... -Robyn On Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at 08:49 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > on 8/14/02 4:45 PM, Tim at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > >> I am trying to find where I can purchase an printer compatible with a >> Supermac C500, > > I'm setting up a friend with a C500.
