It was my understanding that one of the Acard cards uses firmware written by FirmTEK whereas the others don't. Or was it that one of them uses a Promise chipset and the others don't. My memory is no great shakes either.


Anyway, I'd look for that one card model that had either a different firmware author or chip designer and see if that's the one with the issues similar to issues we see with the VST card which uses a Promise chipset and the firmware for which was written by FirmTEK.
