In the free S900 I have yet to boot up, there is a 10/100 PCI card but haven't investigated the brand, etc. Does the above apply to other third party ethernet cards as well under 9.1 and beyond ?
No. It only applies to the E100/Mercury card which is a weird/clever(?) hack that Umax designed to get UW SCSI and 10/100 Enet on the same card.
