If you are using a G3 card (and possibly a G4) you need the
Powerlogix E100 Enabler. The E100 needs a little software patch in
order to work with processors after the PPC604e.

I've got a single 250 Mhz 604e in it. And I think that the E100 is the only
PCI card in it. It's no big deal to me, the built in Ethernet is plenty fast
enough. But since I've got the faster card I'd like to get it working if I could.
Could come in handy for moving stuff to my PC to back up on CD-Rs.

I might try a fresh install of 9.1 on the secondary hard drive (the E100 has
two matching 2GB hard drives on it.) Anything else I could try?

I think you had the card correctly configured back when both "Ethernet" and "E100 Ethernet" showed up in the TCP/IP control panel. I don't know why you weren't able to get IE to load pages. If you have another computer or a network printer, you might see if it was able to communicate with those. Do you need to tell your internet router the ID (MAC?) of your internet card? That would change when you go from built-in ethernet to the E100 card.

It's also interesting that you had both ethernet connections showing up under OS 9.1. Perhaps the need to disable the Apple Enet extension is only when using a G3 or better.
