No, this is not the case. What you want is two 64 meg DIMMS. The 128 meg DIMMS will not work in the C600. You want the 168 Pin Mac 5V DIMM 60NS 2K, either FPM or EDO, available quite cheaply from -
Jerry, what Dan says is correct but I have a Umax 160/2000 (I'm in UK) similar to C500 and the handbook that came with it recommends EDO chips, although it implies FPM will work, but not as comfortably.
