Jerry, what Dan says is correct but I have a Umax 160/2000 (I'm in UK) similar to C500 and the handbook that came with it recommends EDO chips, although it implies FPM will work, but not as comfortably.
Either will work just fine. I used all FPM in my C600, and all FPM in this S900, just because it's cheaper. EDO is a subset of FPM, and gives a small (10%?) speed improvement in memory access.
The price difference between FPM and EDO is not nearly as large as it used to be, so take your pick! The important point is that for the C500/C600 it *must* be the "2K refresh" type, not the "4K refresh".
