I think one is 12 volt and the other 5 volt. Jeff or some one will know for
sure.I'd watch to see if you get a big drop in voltage when you switch on the
USB or firewire drives or if the voltage varies in general more then say 1 volt
+ or - . If it does then your power supply is failing.
The red is 5V and the yellow is 12V. The 12V can vary a fair bit, but I'd be concerned if the 5V was much above of 4.9V or above 5.1V. But that's pretty much a guess. There's probably a spec somewhere for how much it can vary, but I have not found one.
