For anyone following this thread.... Here is another scenario I would like to ask about -
My external Firewire HD has two 6-pin Firewire ports so peripherals can be daisychained. Since the HD is A/C powered, does this mean the extra port could be 'powered' for running a 6-pin peripheral such as a compact flash reader that relies on the Firewire port for power ?
