So, in the interest of accuracy I'm going to open my S900 and take a closer look at what was going on. If I find that the card/slots are in fact different, I will take nice close-up, 5 megapixil, digital pictures so you all can see. I will also report back if it was only my fumble fingered installation techniques that cause me to error. Ain't this fun?

Well, I'm back, with egg on my face. Of course, all the pci slots are the same. All I can say in my defense is that when I was installing the ATA133 I was lying on my side under a desk with about 12 inches of space to work in, with bad lighting. This time I put the machine on a table on it's side under bright light and there it was. Whatever. I feel sort of stupid, but that's nothing new.

BTW, I took pictures anyway while I was there. If anyone wants a close-up of a SIIG 133 card, or a picture of the top two PCI slots of an S900, let me know and I will send them on to you.

So now I have my ATA66 card in the bottom slot, waiting for me to locate a couple more drives.

Sorry about the misinformation.
