Can anyone tell me how to make a copy of my original OS CDs that will
boot???

Jim

There are invisible/hidden files which don't get copied when you make a disk copy. This is why it won't boot. You first need to make a disk image of the disk on your hard disk and then burn the disk image. Toast will make a disk image and then burn it. You can also make a disk image using the Mac disk utilities and burn using disk burner in OSX.
