About a year ago when I first got a hold of my S900 (with a Newertech G3 500Mhz upgrade card), I had quite a bit of trouble getting the OS running properly. It's been running 9.1 for some time now but now that I think back, I distinctly remember one time when I first booted the computer before formatting and re-installing of the OS, the loading screen (where all the extensions pop up one-by-one on the bottom of the screen) had a nice big Newertech G3 logo right below the big Mac OS thing in the middle of the screen. After formatting and whatnot, I no longer see this. I didn't clue into this until recently when I ran a speed check from Norton utilities and it scored extremely low. I am wondering if I need any kind of extension or special software to assist in gaining the full potential of my G3 upgrade card? Or is it just plug and play, and I need more ram?
