SCSI works fine in 10.2 so you could use SCSI or IDE drives. There have been problems with SCSI drives in Panther 10.3.
FWIW, I have 3 SCSI drives in my S900 running 10.3.4 and all work fine.
Has anyone gone directly from 9.2.2 to 10.3.3?
