Although it is strongly recommended that you don't try to go back to Firefox 1.0 (or 2.0 or 3.0) with a profile that has been updated by Firefox 3.6. Ditto for Thunderbird. And of course Mozilla Suite profiles all the way back from 1.7 or even earlier are forward compatible until the end of the XPFE line at SeaMonkey 1.1. I don't see it being any different for SeaMonkey 2.0 going forward.
