I have an odd question that I hope somebody may have answer to. ;)

In Preferences > Advanced > Cache you have the options for how SM should handle the caching of visited websites.

I understand the options "Once per session" and "Never". But the other two options are unclear to me, what they actually mean and how SM do it.

I have checked the "Every time I view the page" option, since I really want to see the most recent update on the pages. Especially dynamic pages that I visit many times almost every day, change often.

But when SM compare the page in the cache with the online page, is the whole page (including images and other embedded content) downloaded again even if there is only a small change (e.g. a new image)? If so, is my setting then "bad" for the server?

The last option "When the page is out of date", what does that really mean, in the way SM "see" it? Is that a better option than the "Every time ....." option, in my case?

TIA
