It works for me, using a Gentoo x86_64 build of SeaMonkey 2.11.

But like other Mozilla apps, it opens thunar, no matter how I have set
a file:/// handler or how I have toggled the
ui.allow_platform_file_picker pref.  (Opening directories from the
download manager also gets me thunar no matter what I try.)
