Is anyone else getting this error in their SeaMonkey web browsers? Or is
it just my very old computer and OS? :/

So now that you've seen several answers, the next question is, in Edit |
Preferences | Browser | Helper Applications, what do you have specified
for mp4 files?

If nothing, SM won't be able to play them. Then you could install VLC or
some other program to handle them. There are lots of options.

But shouldn't SM's native HTML5 video player work? I enabled WebM as well.
