I'm only complaining about SM email client at this time, the browser also
spins on certain sites...

First thing to try is testing with a fresh profile in safe mode
(add-ons and plug-ins disabled).
Already done, no change...
Right now, I'm back at 2.24 after a delete of 32 & install of 24, no
change...
