Hi,

Seem to have a big problem. Every time I try to open ebase with filemaker
5, it keeps saying my names_.102 file is damaged and cannot be opened. I
tried to use the recover command, but that did not work either. I had the
names file saved on zip, but it seems to do the same thing. There is one
file I was trying to get into, which for some reason did not have all the
info it should have, and when I tried ot get into it, it said it had a
problem and didn't have a file number.

Have I lost all my database?? We are using two computers, and because we
don't have a network set up yet, are copying the names file to share back
and forth as work is done on different computers. We of course are only
using one computer at a time as not to erase any information. I still have
the info on the other computer, but what can I do to safely retrive from
that? Is there a better way to backup and copy? Please help with this.

Many thanks,
Matthew Albracht
