Thank you. I tried to check related files, and it said none of them needed
to be done. Yet when I go into this one particular record that it says is
damaged, here is what comes up after it is open and I go into data entry
screen " This field cannot be modified until 'record number' is given a
valid value." Then a display comes up that says I must create a related
record, which I choose yes to, but then right after that, a display comes up
that says the file is damaged and I have to exit filemaker and perform a
recover. I did the recover before, which completed, but some of the files
were missing, one of them was the 'damaged file'- though others looked to be
randomly missing, and I don't know how many or which ones, because the
number did not change of how many files there are. I just saw a couple that
as I was scrolling through the files, were blank. We have over 5,000 so I
didn't go through them all. Is there any way to find out how many are
gone? What I wnat to know is if I should jsut revert to our backup from
earlier this month, which would cause us to lose about 80 files, or if most
of it is probably still in tact from the recover?
Many thanks,
Matthew Albracht
