Karin, I am going to just tackle the most pressing of your questions.

No, it indicates a potentially damaging data error. your names records are
not correctly associated with other eBase data. This can (and often does)
happen if records have been added to eBase using the FileMaker import
function rather than the eBase import function, (though there can be other
causes).
To create or re-establish the proper eBase relationships you need to get
into Ebase with your Master password, click on the "Find All" button then
pull down the Scripts menu and click on the "Create Related Records" script.
Depending on the size of your database this can take a while to run so just
let it run. If you are hosting eBase on a network make sure that all other
users are off before you start to assure that all records are available for
update.
