I had an installation with a Mac Mini (intel, forgotten what OSX version, maybe
10.5, somewhat trimmed down), no internet but wirelessly connected to a Linux
machine running video, running 8 channels from a MOTU Ultralite. It shutdown at
midnight and restarted at 6:30am every day.

It ran for 15 months without fail or intervention (it was locked from cleaners
and the public). I have had this going in various cities for several months,
but the 15 month stint was the longest. I have a similar thing currently going
in India for 12 months with almost no intervention - there have been power
failures...

Hope that helps,
paul
