Thats nothing compared to what we got in the Hebrew Windows:
about 20% of the Windows System Directories (folders, whatever) are
writen in HEBREW. the "Start menu" dir and the "Desktop" dir. Result?
Whenever a US program (about 90%+ of the israeli software market)
attempt to install its short-cuts without checking the registry
where the sys-dir are located first, they either crash because they
couldnt locate Start menu and Desktop, or create their own. If they
create their own, Windows ofcourse cant find it and the mess begins.
Etleast Program files and My documents remained in english.. in most
cases, anyhow.
Oh. And ofcourse, there are programs like Notron Utilities for 95
who do not support hebrew in filenames/dir-names. Result? use
speed-disk, and all your hebrew-named directories are renamed to
weird unreadable gibrish.
Or, when you try to access a hebrew-dir or hebrew-file with a non
supporting US program, Sometimes the name can appear backword.
(hebrew is written from right to left.)
Yet another fine product from Microsoft.
