I came across this page the other day, which I guess some of you would
find right on topic for this thread:

        Each Nerd In His Small Corner:
        <http://members.tripod.com/leedonley/nerd.htm>
        *Calling All Nerds - The Children of The Universe Need You.*

While I'm at it, a few more URLs:

# Good info/manual on upgrading harddrives on Laptops/ Notebooks,
from warriors.com - a online shop.

On their howto page <http://warrior.com/howto.htm> you'll find links
to their 3 part manual:
<http://warrior.com/drivehard/hduapt1.html>
<http://warrior.com/drivehard/hduapt2.html>
<http://warrior.com/drivehard/hduapt3.html>

# Next, well written, worth reading (not recently updated):

PC Operating Systems
<http://pclt.cis.yale.edu/pclt/OPSYS/Default.htm>
Introduction to PC Hardware:
<http://pclt.cis.yale.edu/pclt/PCHW/PLATYPUS.HTM>

#Next, regarding specs for old hardware, I just came across

John Robinson's TekInfo page:
<http://www.blackpool.net/users/tekinfo/>
Hardware Information:
<http://www.blackpool.net/users/tekinfo/infohard.htm>

Where he lists older hardware he collected some tech info/specs on -
and you e-mail him if you need the info/specs he got. See page for
details/e-mail.

# Curiosity... not recently updated:

Comprehensive Computer Catalogue:
<http://columbia.digiweb.com/~hansp/ccc/>

Lists 4335 computers by year/date, in four sections: (1) Before 1960,
(2) 1960 to 69, (3) 1970- to present (up to 95 ) and finally (4)
Date/year unknown. No tech info though, just brand/model names,
year/date and who made them.

All the best,
Bjorn
