How would he find out about us?

Listen. The author is more important than his abandoned software. So
getting in touch with him is a top priority. He would have a substantial
number of customer contacts, if he knew about lists like SurvPC with people
who adore his capabilities. If this guy worked on his product from 1985 to
1993, certainly he had customers with registered versions of VMiX 386.
Where could we locate people with registered copies? These sort of people
might provide further clues about J. Anthony Borras. The full version of
his last version of VMiX 386 would be the most valuable.

The last shareware version has a nag screen, can only support four
computers, and I think it doesn't have full graphics capabilities -- and it
has *source code* for most, if not all, of the programs in the package! If
you could get a copy of a registered version with source code -- and it's
abandoned -- that would be almost as good as having Mr. Borras himself.

Travis Siegel actually called him up once and talked about some problems he
had with the program.

Travis (are you reading this?) -- do you remember anything significant about
your conversation with J. Anthony Borras?
