I distinctly recall that the author of the vmix386 program did not have
any sort of an accent other than what you would expect from a person
having lived in the us all his life. :)  He seemed to me (though I never
asked to verify it) that he was a bit older than I was, possibly in his
30-40 year range at the time, which would place him near 50 or there
abouts at this time.  I of course could be wrong here, since voice isn't
always an accurate conveyance of age.
