When I bought RAM to upgrade and installed it I started having the blue
screen of death far too often.
I was told that you have to reinstall the system as it can be that finicky.
Maybe it's so with changing the CPU too? Of course, you don't say whether
you reinstalled the software on the HD you use.
My girlfriend bought an amd k6 300MHZ
