Maybe what you need is a constant voltage transformer or
ferroresonant transformer ahead of your UPS to smooth things out.
One manufacturer of these devices is Sola Electric, now Sola/Hevi-
Duty. http:www.sola-hevi-duty.com These devices were in use
before the electronic UPS was practical. The output voltage stays
+ / - 3% of nominal for a +10%/-20% change in input voltage.
