Hello Karen:
After you physically installed your new hard drive, did you make the
approriate changes in your BIOS to indicate how many heads, cylinders,
tracks, and sectors are on the new hard drive? If you failed to do that,
then that could explain why your new hard drive is having problems. You
might have to reformat the drive after you set up the BIOS. Also, your
BIOS might not be capable of recognizing such a large drive unless you
first install a special utility program that is most probably available
as a free download from the hard drive's manufacturer. Norton version 8
for DOS is the same program I use. The program won't work right unless
your BIOS knows all about your hard drive specifications. Check it out,
and take care.
