Wow, Bob,
I don't have any one keyboard that matches your requirement,
but here are some that I've been looking at:
The "Happy Hacker" keyboard family at
this URL: www.pfuca.com/products/hhkb/
Also some "different" keyboards at DSI, www.dsi-usa.com/
and they have one they're doing on clearance:
http://www.dsi-usa.com/closeout.htm
but, although this one has function keys at the left,
it also has a million keys.
Their DCK84 is a small (84-key) keyboard, but you would
have to look at the picture.
As I type this, I'm using a Cherry G81-1800 general-purpose
compact keyboard. It has a full key count (101, I think)
but has a narrow footprint. The function keys, unfortunately
are across the top, but my favorite thing on it is NO WIN KEYS.
See picture at www.dmcbride.com/POS/cherry.htm (among others).
And finally, if you're a big Northgate fan, you might check
out www.lueckdatasystems.com/hardware/omnikey/ where the
Northgate Omnikey lives on. This one has the func keys where
they belong, but the million key thing, and the price, may be
more than you want.
I hope I've been some help.
Regards,
Garry
