I know; my point was that there is actually a file called HIMEM.SYS that
shouldn't be used, in case the OP saw the file existed (you said DR-DOS
didn't have one).  I didn't even suggest it could be a solution; I simply
meant to clear up any confusion that might come about as a result of the
file existing.

I'm sorry if I caused you any confusion with my last message, Andy.  Now,
