Dee,

I've got two dual pentium systems, one Dual P-Pro and one Dual P133 and both
run perfect with SuSE.
One of the things to look for is the setting in the bios that sets the
standard for SMP to Version to one of the versions.
My old Dual P133 runs with Intel Spec's 1.1 for SMP.
Secondly, do you see something similar to this:

Loaded 4314 symbols from /System.map.
Symbols match kernel version.
klogd 1.3-0, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
<4>Memory: sized by int13 088h
<4>Intel MultiProcessor Specification v1.1
<4> Virtual Wire compatibility mode.
<4>OEM ID: OEM00000 Product ID: PROD00000000 APIC at: 0xFEE00000
<4>Processor #0 Pentium(tm) APIC version 17
<4>Processor #1 Pentium(tm) APIC version 17
<4>I/O APIC #2 Version 17 at 0xFEC00000.
<4>Processors: 2
<4>Console: 16 point font, 400 scans

I copied this from the /var/log/boot.msg file.
Did your system runs with both processors under other operating systems,
like NT?
Regards,

Frans.
