Did you set SMP_PROF = 1 also?
Other than that, if SMP = 1 and SMP_PROF = 1 and processor
type is set correctly (PPRO) it SHOULD see and use both
processors.
If all are set correctly, perhaps either BIOS not being correctly set
or an incompatability with the motherboard...
