FME people have had better luck (success) with the source code.
Its trivial to compile and install, all thats needed is the gpp you can get a
detailled description from my page basically get the source, put in your / dir,
type
tar xzf wvdialcompletepackage name (hint- use tab key to complete the filename)

cd wvdialdir
make
make install
then
wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
cd /etc
pico wvdial.conf
add your info remove the remarks ;
type wvdial
thats it (easier done than said)
