Hi, I have found out that a HP/Compaq nc4400 can be suspended to ram with
s2ram -f -p -s and revived again. This seems to follow the behaviour of the nc4200 laptops. All other combinations of arguments to s2ram results in a unusable system at reboot if it revives at all. Identification of the system is: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ # s2ram -i This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Hewlett-Packard" sys_product = "HP Compaq nc4400 (EN004AV)" sys_version = "F.08" bios_version = "68YHV Ver. F.08" See http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram for details. If you report a problem, please include the complete output above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On my system I have to unload the modules tg3 and psmouse to get a functional system after resume. The net does not return after resume unless tg3 is reloaded. The psmouse module can hang the system if suspended from console. If suspended from X, mouse behaviour will be very erratic and not functional. I have added these modules to my hibernate blacklist. I got the laptop with bios F.05 which I had to upgrade due to problems with speedstep. I have not idea how s2ram will work with bios F.05. -- René Seindal ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
