Well, tg3 has (had?) similar problems, that it does no carrier detect after suspend unless "ifconfig down; ifconfig up" is given. /etc/init.d/network restart does exactly this (among other things). So it can be both: a kernel bug or a NetworkManager bug (if you are using NM), just file a bug at the suse bugzilla. -- Stefan Seyfried "Any ideas, John?"
