I am planning to buy a newer VW TDI and would like to start producing biodiesel. Most of the info I have read on the subject says that water washing is unnecessary. What is the possible result if the fuel is not washed and the sp. gravity is .86-.90. If diesels can run on heated vegtable oil why would a small glycerin content be harmful?
