Dan Etherington has advised me that one of his DME units is currently being tested in Rabaul for the oil to be used in marine diesels. Am waiting to hear about the results. Also a question. Since crude oil is cracked to produce among other things, petrol, the same should be possible using veggie oils like coconut and palm. Have you (or any one else on this list) any knowledge of the processes involved?
