One of my sons had an article from an engine rebuilder that has
worked up a 'cure' for the GM 6.5 Turbo Diesel. I believe it mainly
consisted of lower compression pistons, and a MUCH higher turbo
boost. 21MPG and will blow away Ford's Power-Stroke. Chevy's new
Diesel is also supposed to be much better. There are unavailable
around here. Dealer allotments were sold out before the first ones
were produced. I was seriously considering buying one, but the Dealer
wanted the down payment last winter, and delivery would be at least 2
years. $42,000 is a lot of money for a pickup that I can't drive for
2 years.
