The weight of "crude" glycerin can very quite a bit, depending upon what it is crudded with. Is the crude in question the glycerin/soap/alcohol layer after a straight base reaction, the same layer after an acid/base process, the glycerin/H20/alcohol/acid after a FFA recovery routine, or the glycerin/H20/acid after an alcohol recovery step?
The weight of the "crude glycerin" could vary as much as one to nearly two pounds per gallon, depending upon where you are at in any of the above.
