Hey people! I thought you lived in a democracy. A democracy will accept that people have differing views, and let them speak these views. Of course if the views flow on to violence, I see no problem with society depriving these extremists of their freedom (but not their life - I am not a believer in the death penalty for any reason). What I really object to is what is happening in Australia now, where the Moslem women are being discriminated against, by being jostled in public & even spat upon. This behaviour is very un-Australian, & only practised by the less moderate in society, but it points to a malaise that has the potential to turn Christian against Moslem, in a country that prides itself on its anti-discrimination. The rot started in Australia before the last elections when there was a boat load of refugees that the Australian Govt decided to make an example of. This public process started a chain of events that turned the Ultra conservative voters against the boat refugees, and by inference Moslems as they dress differently, and the people on the boat were Moslem also. This is an oversimplification of the events but the reality of what happened. I just wish we could get a more equal society (not communist) that wasn't driven by greed, but paid a fair price for labour everywhere, & had worldwide laws about pollution and utilisation of resources. Then there would be little jealousy of the haves & have-nots. Oh, for a perfect world!
